Mount Carmel Health System (MCHS), a three hospital system, has an exciting full time employment opportunity for an exceptional Fellowship trained, Board Certified clinician and leader for the position of Regional Medical Director of Critical Care located in Columbus, Ohio.
The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Pulmonary & Critical Care and have at least 5-7 years of Critical Care experience. The Medical Director will provide leadership and administrative oversight to our Intensive Care Units. They will direct, coordinate and lead the management processes, performance expectations for physicians/acute care nurse practitioners and performance improvement processes, for our adult critical care units, at three hospital locations.
The hospitals are all located within 20 minutes of downtown Columbus, Ohio. Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital is located northeast of downtown Columbus, in Westerville. Mount Carmel East Hospital located just outside beltway on east side of Columbus. Mount Carmel Grove City Hospital located just south of downtown, Columbus. Our Critical Care team is currently comprised of 17 Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians, 9 Acute Care Nocturnist physicians and 14 Acute Care Nurse Practitioners.
This opportunity is a new addition to our leadership team, we anticipate this position will be 60% administrative and 40% clinical. The successful candidate will demonstrate prior critical care leadership experience, effective mentoring and communication skills, and a passion for quality improvement.
