Working in conjunction with the Administrative Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, RN and LPN, the CNA performs a variety of basic resident care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of residents. The CNA works under the direction of a licensed nurse who must follow the principles of delegation. CNA work is reflective of CCH mission, vision and values. The CNA will integrate departmental goals for improvement across the care continuum. The CNA practices within the framework of the Wyoming Nurse Practice Act, Wyoming Department of Health and CMS guidelines.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
Assists with basic resident care and ADL’s according to plan of care.
Observes residents and reports unusual conditions and/or responses to Charge Nurse of respective Unit.
Enhances resident safety by attending bedside shift huddle and performance of hourly rounding.
Assists with admission, discharge, and transfer of residents.
