The Team- The Hospital:

Full-time cardiac intensivist opportunity in Austin, TX! This is an excellent opportunity for this with skillset and interest in cardiac ICU.

Heart Hospital of Austin is home to one of the largest non-academic cardiovascular research programs in the world and has been named among the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by IBM Watson Health. The hospital has also been awarded Healthgrades America’s 50 Best Hospitals Award for Vascular Surgery in 2019 and included in Truven Health Analytics' 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals in the nation for eleven years (2004-2005, 2007-2009, 2012-2013, 2015-2017, 2019.

  • 58-bed, community-based hospital with aggressive plans for expansion
  • Advanced Heart Failure Program – Tremendous desire to build ECMO and LVAD programs
  • 12-bed cardiac ICU
  • Team of 2 full-time intensivists
  • Schedule: 8 to 10-hour day shift with night call from home

Education, Training & Experience Required:

  • MD or DO; Must be board certified or eligible in critical care and posses active Texas medical license
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform all technical skills in the critical care setting
