Northwell Health Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Program is seeking a BE/BC Pulmonologist to enhance the staff of a well-respected practice, within our Medical Group in Suffolk county. Sleep experience is a plus but not required. This outpatient position is located in Bay Shore, NY, with inpatient consults at Southside Hospital.

Northwell Health Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Programs started in the 1980s and has grown to over 35 dedicated physicians. Our programs are nationally and internationally recognized for expertise in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine, and we boast innovative clinical research and graduate medical education programs. We have specialized centers for pulmonary hypertension and advanced lung disease, cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis, asthma and sleep medicine.
Our pulmonary medicine community-based outpatient services span the full range of lung diseases, whether common or rare, simple or complex. We have subspecialty programs in pulmonary hypertension, asthma, critical care, cystic fibrosis, non-CF bronchiectasis, non-tuberculous mycobacterial diseases, interventional pulmonary medicine, pulmonary rehabilitation and sleep medicine.
This Bay Shore practice is busy, with a large referral base that encompasses all of Western and Central Suffolk County, and provides the opportunity to grow a practice quickly. This practice is the main pulmonary presence at Southside Hospital. The practice location allows for enjoyment of the beaches of Long Island as well as all that New York City has to offer.
Comprised of 341-beds, 30 miles east of NYC on the south shore of Long Island. We are an emerging tertiary medical center currently with 36 ICU beds and building another 30 ICU beds by 2023. We integrate closely with a 24/7 eICU and innovate in our collaboration. We have an active level II trauma center, neurosurgery service, complex cardiology with cardiothoracic surgery, Impellas, transcatheter valves, and ECMO. In the summer of 2019 we are adding a Neuro ICU with neurointerventional capacity as well as a new emergency medicine residency.
